Houston’s Chief of Police Charles A McClelland Jr. – Weekly media address on YouTube

This is the first time I have posted one of these, but they are interesting.  It’s a shame that these videos don’t get more views.  The City of Houston and the Houston Police Department does a good job of getting content out for interested citizens.  They keep us informed and safe.

8 protester’s claiming to be from the group “Good Jobs, Great Houston” arrested outside of Kay Bailey Hutchison’s downtown office

Speculation has been that Kay Bailey Hutchison was targeted because of her opposition to Obama’s  jobs bill and his views on Chinese policy.  8 protesters were arrested when they entered the Mickey Leyland Building in downtown Houston despite warnings from police officers on the scene.  The protesters were charged with criminal trespassing at the end of an hours-long attempt to keep them under control.

Demonstrations are only successful when they are peaceful.  “Good Jobs, Great Houston” may have done more harm than good by crossing that line.

The video below shows the Senator discussing Obama’s jobs plan which may have caused the protesters reaction.
